"The Royal Yoga"
(The Whole Yoga Practice)
Saturdays 4-6:30 p.m.

Join Bridgett on Saturday’s for a very special class designed for dedicated Yoga students and aspiring Yoga teachers seeking to enrich their knowledge in Yoga Philosophy. In this class we will discuss and study the philosophies of the four paths of Yoga’s as described by Hindu philosophies. We will discuss how to use these practices for our modern needs of reducing stress and chronic pains of the body brought on by work conditions and emotional stress.
- Hatha Yoga : Cultivates the body and breathe to gain physical and physiological health. Hatha yoga nourishes the nervous system, hormonal system, and immune system.
- Karma Yoga: Ability to respond compassionately and to take action to relieve suffering on a local or global level. Be the social change that you want to see today.
Jnana Yoga: Eliminate Fanatical thinking through the study of ancient Yoga texts.
Bhakti Yoga: cultivate devotion and emotional content and your body and minds ability to respond to situations.
When the four Yoga’s are practiced together they create the harmonious union of Raja Yoga otherwise known as The Royal Yoga. In Raja Yoga, the Sage Patanjali describes how to use Yoga bypracticing concentration and developing a disciplined mind so that we can reach a state of compassion for ourselves and ultimately open the channels to enhance meditation and discover the infinite bliss of Samadhi.
This class is mentally stimulating and physically inspiring and students should have a minimum of 1 year Yoga experience or permission from the instructor for this in depth level of practice.
