A.M. Yoga

This early morning class will awaken the body and center the mind. A great way to start the day!

Hatha

This class is based on physical postures (asanas) that we hold with mindfulness and breath.We take time to explore the nuances of the pose before we transition into the next pose.

Hatha Flow

This class will teach the practitioner to build skills into flowing sequences with a focus on combining breath with movement. Combined postures create a flowing series that promotes strength, flexibility and endurance. Students learn to refine postures and move beyond the limitations of the body and mind.

Intro Series – Pre Registration Required

The Intro Series is a great way to start the foundation to a life long practice of Yoga. This six-week session is designed for anyone new to yoga or continuing students interested in reconnecting to the fundamentals of Hatha Yoga.

Pre/Postnatal Yoga

This class is designed to support both prenatal and postnatal women with their new babies (up to one year), through all the physical and emotional changes. Come share the evolutionary process of motherhood by connecting with other women, allowing the opportunity for inward reflection, providing a healthy physical and emotional outlet for your experience.
Note: Mothers with babies, please feel free to feed, change, play and tend to your baby as needed.

Restorative Flow – Beginner Friendly

This class combines energetic flowing movements with deep, relaxing, restorative postures. Leaving you feeling balanced and complete.

Restorative Yoga – Beginner Friendly

A gentle, nurturing practice that relieves chronic stress due to major life changes, disease & injury, athletic endeavors or just modern-day life in a big city. Props may be used to allow the body to fully relax and rest deeply. . Prior yoga experience is not necessary and all levels are welcome.

The second Sunday of the month will be Restorative, followed by Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep) is a guided meditation designed to bring the practitioner into such a deeply relaxed state that it is often experienced as “a conscious state of sleep.” During this time you will be guided through various visualization and body scanning techniques. Practitioners have enough time to sink into the deeply nourishing state in which the brain waves slow down, the nervous system unwinds and a subtle euphoria often emerges.

Vinyasa

An energetic practice which utilizes synchronizing the breath with each movement. This class focuses more on the transition of each pose to the next rather than staying in the posture. Designed to work your heart, strengthen your core and regain flexibility.

Yoga for Strength & Ease – Beginner Friendly

A unique class weaving asana (postures), pranayama (breath work), and meditation. This class is appropriate for any individual wanting a slow well-rounded class, as well as for caregivers, older adults & those with therapeutic concerns.

Yin Yoga – Beginner Friendly

Suitable for all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the body—the tendons, fascia, and ligaments—with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. Yin Yoga postures are more passive postures, mainly on the floor. It is not uncommon to see postures held for three to five minutes.

The last Thursday of the month will be Yin, followed by Yoga Nidra. Yoga Conditioning For Yogis – Beginner Friendly

Yoga Conditioning For Yogis designed to help you feel strong for those elusive, challenging poses that are taught in the more advanced classes. By toning and sculpting every major muscle group, this class complements your  regular yoga practice while pushing your strength and flexibility to new heights.  

This well-rounded practice incorporates movement from classical yoga and corrective exercise along with self myofascial release via the foam roller. Practitioners are encouraged to explore their own body and mind discover habitual movement patterns. This class is suitable for both the beginner practitioner as well as the seasoned.

Moving Meditation – Hatha Flow

In this Hatha Flow class, the emphasis will be on creating a moving meditation in your asana practice through Shakti Surfing…riding the wave of the breath. You will be invited to cultivate inner awareness by following the flow of your breath as you move through your practice. With breath and movement united, the asana will become a moving meditation, drawing you into a deeper union of body, mind and spirit.

Y12SR Com binds the practical tools of the 12-step program with the ancient wisdom of yoga.
Combining the two, creates a model that truly addresses addiction as the physical, mental & spiritual dis-ease that it is.
Y12Rs is 12-step based discussion and yoga practice open to anyone and everyone dealing with their own addictive behavior or affected by the addictive behaviors of others. This is a open and inclusive group. All A’s are welcome

 

Levels

All: Class is designed for all levels

Level I: Class is designed for students that have a basic understanding
of the yoga asanas.

Level II: Class is designed for the intermediate student (more than 6
months of continous practice)

Level III: Class is designed for the advanced student (more than 1 year of continous practice)
