Warrior II ~ Sanskrit: Virabhadrasana II
One of Michelle’s favorite pose is Virabhadrasana II. It’s a powerful standing pose that builds strength in the legs and arms while opening the chest and hips. Virabhadrasana gives you the sensation of being grounded and confident: two things any mother could use!
- Start standing with you legs 4 to 4 1/2 feet apart with your arms stretched side ways.
- Turn your left foot in 15 degrees and turn right foot out 90 degrees.
- Bend right knee till it lines up over your ankle, left leg strait, gaze over right arm.
- Tuck tail bone to the floor, draw navel to spine and lengthen the sides of your body.
