Warrior II ~ Virabhadrasana II

Warrior II ~ Sanskrit: Virabhadrasana II

One of Michelle’s favorite pose is Virabhadrasana II. It’s a powerful standing pose that builds strength in the legs and arms while opening the chest and hips. Virabhadrasana gives you the sensation of being grounded and confident: two things any mother could use!

  1. Start standing with you legs 4 to 4 1/2 feet apart with your arms stretched side ways.
  2. Turn your left foot in 15 degrees and turn right foot out 90 degrees.
  3. Bend right knee till it lines up over your ankle, left leg strait, gaze over right arm.
  4. Tuck tail bone to the floor, draw navel to spine and lengthen the sides of your body.
